Evaluation and Diagnosis

The doctor will review your medical history and symptoms, perform a physical examination, and order any necessary imaging tests to thoroughly assess the extent of your knee condition.

Treatment Discussion and Plan  

The doctor will explain your diagnosis and outline the best treatment options, whether surgery or other pain management solutions. If surgery is necessary for your case, the doctor will discuss the procedure needed in detail, along with a personalized recovery plan.

Clearance for Surgery

Depending on your age and health, you will need to undergo pre-op tests such as blood work, an ECG or X-ray, and an anesthesia evaluation to be cleared for surgery. Your dedicated PRO will assist you throughout this process.

Surgery Scheduling

Once cleared, your surgery can be scheduled within 2-3 days at one of our partner hospital facilities, as recommended by your doctor. You’ll receive detailed instructions for the surgery day, including any fasting or medication requirements.

Pre-Op Preparations

Upon arrival at the surgical facility, your PRO will ensure a smooth check-in and assist you with final pre-op preparations. You’ll meet the surgical team, have an IV line placed for fluids and medication, and be prepped for surgery.

The Surgery

You’ll then be taken to the operating room, where anesthesia will be administered. Your doctor will perform the knee surgery using the planned approach, while being closely monitored by the surgical and anesthesia team throughout the procedure.

Post-Op Care

After surgery, you'll be moved to a recovery room, where the nursing team will monitor you and ensure your comfort. Your doctor will visit to assess your progress, evaluate your mobility, and determine when you're ready for discharge.

At-Home Care

At Aid Medical, we offer at-home surgical nursing care with up to 7 visits as part of our package. During these visits, your dressing will be changed and vital signs will be monitored as you recover.

Physical Therapy

Your doctor will collaborate with our partner physiotherapy clinic to develop a personalized rehabilitation plan. As part of our package, up to 12 physical therapy sessions are provided, either at home or in person, depending on your case.

Post-Op Evaluation

Two weeks after your surgery, your doctor will assess your overall healing progress. You will receive guidance on gradually increasing physical activity as you regain your full range of motion and strength.
