Dr. AlShaya has more than 10 years of Leadership experience in executive administration, academic and training affairs, and the government healthcare sector. He has held senior executive roles, including Vice President at the Riyadh Second Health Cluster, Saudi Arabia. He has been appointed by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as the Designated Institutional Officer of Academic and Training Affairs and also serves as an acting board member at King Fahad Medical City, focused on revenue generation for Academic and Training Affairs.

Dr. AlShaya has also contributed to numerous national initiatives that servce the nation, including developing strategic plans and specialized programs for healthcare workers across the nation to enhance capabilities and support the Kingdom's Vision 2030 transformation goals. He is also an Associate Professor at Alfaisal University and has spoken at leading institutions like King Saud bin Abdulaziz University and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University
