Your healthcare journey with Aid Medical begins with a dedicated Patient Relations Officer assigned to you, ready to guide you through the process with clear communication and attention to detail. Whether it’s answering questions about surgical procedures or helping you prepare for your consultation, your PRO will be your go-to person, ensuring that you feel informed and at ease.
Once you’ve been connected with your PRO, they will take care of scheduling your consultation, whether it’s in-person or virtual. Your PRO will also make sure that your doctor has all the necessary case details in advance, allowing for a thorough and personalized consultation. This proactive approach ensures that no information is missed, and that your time with the doctor is as productive as possible.
When it’s time for surgery, your PRO continues to play a critical role in ensuring that everything goes smoothly. Depending on your age and health, certain pre-operative tests may be required, such as blood work, an ECG, X-rays, or an anesthesia evaluation. Your PRO will assist you throughout this process, ensuring that all tests are completed on time and that you receive clear instructions for surgery day—everything from fasting requirements to medication instructions.
On the day of your surgery, your PRO will be there to assist you with the final pre-operative preparations. Upon arrival at the surgical facility, your PRO will ensure a seamless check-in process, introduce you to the surgical team, and help you with the placement of your IV line for fluids and medication. This attention to detail ensures that you feel supported and well-prepared for the procedure ahead.
Once your surgery is complete, your care doesn’t stop there. Aid Medical offers up to seven home-visits from our skilled nursing team as part of our surgical package. During these visits, your dressing will be changed and monitored to ensure that your recovery progresses smoothly. Your PRO will coordinate all at-home care visits, and you’ll have direct access to them for any questions or concerns you may have during your recovery.
Recovery doesn’t end with surgery. To ensure that you regain strength and mobility, your doctor will work closely with our partner physiotherapy clinic to create a personalized rehabilitation plan. Depending on your case, physical therapy sessions can be provided either at home or in-person. You’ll be entitled to up to 12 physical therapy sessions, with your PRO helping to coordinate and schedule these appointments.
After your surgery, your PRO will schedule a check-up within two weeks to ensure everything is healing properly. They will continue to check in over the coming weeks, maintaining a long-term connection to support your recovery and ensure you’re on track for optimal healing.
